Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects
from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors,
procurement, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This role requires strong leadership skills and proficiency in construction management software including Sage 300,
Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple HVAC and plumbing construction projects simultaneously.
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and change orders utilizing Sage 300.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals using Bluebeam.
Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Manage procurement of equipment and materials to maintain project schedules.
Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and overall project performance.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality requirements, and contract specifications.
Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
Support field teams by resolving technical and operational issues.
Conduct project closeout activities including punch lists, as-builts, and final billing.
Maintain strong customer relationships and support business development efforts when needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing
construction.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and project lifecycle management.
Proficiency with:
o Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate
o Primavera P6 Scheduling Software
o Bluebeam Revu
o Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings and specifications.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractors.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Design-Build and negotiated projects.
Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
OSHA 30 certification.
PMP certification or equivalent construction project management credentials.
Experience with estimating and preconstruction support.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to visit active construction sites and navigate jobsite conditions.
Occasional lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking may be required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
