In House Sheet Metal Fabrication

The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate and build various metal structures and equipment for HVAC installation and other equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength.
- Cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions.
- Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
- Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
- Performs assigned work on assembly lines, such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
- Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
- Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision.
- Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work.
- Ability to follow directions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship or a three-year in-company training program (preferred).
- Certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of lifting, reaching, and working on scaffolding.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
